Questions and answers
Everything guests ask before booking
Answers for all three apartments — Chablis, Rully and Brouilly — in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, hosted by Christophe, Airbnb Superhost for 12 years with 791 reviews. Questions specific to one apartment are answered on its own page.
Booking
- Where do I book — this site, Airbnb, Booking.com or VRBO?
- On the platform of your choice. Chablis and Rully are on Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO, all three with instant booking. Brouilly is on Airbnb only: the mobility lease requires Christophe to review each request before accepting it, and Airbnb is the one platform that allows this. The reservation, the payment and the guarantees are handled by the platform, and it is the same apartment and the same calendar behind each listing.
- How much does it cost per night?
- Rates change with the season and the length of the stay, so the live price is always the one shown on the booking platform for your dates. Long stays are priced by the month rather than by the night.
- Can I book directly with the host?
- Bookings go through the platforms. You can message Christophe on Airbnb before booking with any question about the apartments, the neighborhood or a specific set of dates.
- What is the cancellation policy?
- The cancellation policy is the one displayed on the listing you book through, and it can differ slightly between platforms. Check it on the listing page before you confirm.
Length of stay
- Can I rent an apartment near the Eiffel Tower for two months?
- Yes. Brouilly is rented on a French mobility lease (bail mobilité) for 1 to 10 months: 78 m², three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, sleeps 6 to 7, air conditioned, with a dedicated workspace and fiber-optic Wi-Fi. It is the apartment designed for stays of a month or more.
- What is a mobility lease, in practice?
- It is a French furnished rental contract lasting 1 to 10 months. It cannot be renewed, no security deposit may be charged, and rent and utilities are a single monthly amount. It is open to people on a professional assignment, remote workers, students, trainees, researchers and anyone in temporary professional transition.
- Which apartments are available for a short stay?
- Rully and Chablis are rented by the night, with instant booking on Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO. Rully sleeps 6 to 7 across three bedrooms and suits families; Chablis sleeps up to 4 and faces the Eiffel Tower directly.
Practical
- What are the check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm, check-out before 10:00 am, in all three apartments. Christophe meets guests in person whenever he can.
- Is there an elevator?
- Chablis is on the 6th floor, with an elevator to the 5th and then one flight of stairs. Rully is on the 5th floor, served by a vintage elevator typical of Parisian period buildings. Brouilly is on the 4th floor with an elevator and no stairs from the street.
- Is there air conditioning and Wi-Fi?
- Yes, all three are air conditioned and have Wi-Fi. Brouilly and Rully are on fiber-optic connections; the connection at Chablis is measured at 44 Mbps, enough for 4K streaming and video calls. Each apartment has a dedicated workspace.
- Can we do laundry?
- Yes. Each apartment has a washing machine and a dryer, plus an iron and a drying rack. Towels and bed linen are provided.
- Are pets allowed?
- Pets are welcome at Chablis. Brouilly and Rully do not accept pets. None of the three allows smoking.
- Are the apartments suitable for babies and young children?
- Yes. A crib, a travel cot, a high chair and children’s books and toys are provided in all three. Rully, with three separate bedrooms and a supermarket on the street, is the one families most often choose.
Paris rules
- Are the apartments legally registered with the City of Paris?
- Yes. Registration numbers are published on the listings and in the footer of this site, as French law requires for furnished tourist rentals in Paris.
- Is the tourist tax included?
- The City of Paris tourist tax is collected by the booking platform on top of the nightly rate, per guest and per night. It appears in the price breakdown before you confirm. It does not apply to a mobility lease.
